There are two main bus stops.
The one shown in the picture above adjacent to the taxi rank.
The No 10 bus stops here and this will take you to Jandia and the south. This travels from Porto Rosario, then on to the airport, and down to Costa Calma. In other words, you get the No. 10 bus from the airport to Costa Calma. The service is every 30 minutes.

There is a further main bus stop is on the main road through the green zone about 300m along the road on the right after you pass the main roundabout as you enter town.

Car hire to Costa Calma
You can book online and even collect from the airport. www.cicar.com
Finding your way about the island is easy as it is essentially a straight road running from Jandia to Corralejo. The main towns on the island of Fuerteventura are, and there is a straight line between them:
  • Correlejo (in the North)
  • Puerto Rosario (the industrial capital)
  • Calete de Fuste (also described as El Castillo)
  • Costa Calma (also known as Canade Del Rio)
  • Jandia (also know as Moro Jable) (in the South)

In truth there is a multitude of car hire availible at the airport and in the town of Costa Calma. However, it is true to say that CICAR are the major provider in the Canary Islands and their cars are exceptionally safe.

Airport Transfers in Private car or people carrier
These can be arranged for you by me with a few providers. On average the price for this service is typically 65 euros (at 2008 prices). Please contact me direct.
